Engine Rebuild: Removal and Disassembly
Its a really bad pic but this is how the motor looked like when I first removed it.
This is the empty engine bay. I have two pieces of wood acting like a wedge to hold up the power steering pump and a 2X4 bolted to the frame supporting the tranny.
Here is a much better pic the following day. Note the orange RTV sealing the back of the intake. That is one of the reasons that I am doing this project.
And this is the pretty much bare block. I only have the heads, intake, and harmonic balancer left to remove. Yippy!!!
Here is what the car looked like after I removed the engine. The front is about 3 inches higher because of the less weight on the springs.
9/14-I got the rest of the engine disassembled, including the heads. Hopefully, I'll take some new pics Sunday.
