General
Information about my Monte Carlo:
-I’m
the fourth owner of this car.
-I
bought this car of March 2001 from my brother. He bought it in May 2000.
I did all the maintenance on the car since he bought it.
-The
odometer reads 101,750 miles. I bought it with about 101,000 miles and my brother bought it with only 96,000 miles.
The
Engine
-'72 Monte 350--Summit 1103 Cam-462 Camel Hump Heads-Edelbrock 3701 intake, etc. Check Bye Bye 305 for full specs.
-During
April Vacation 2001, my dad and I pulled the intake to clean out the ports. When we pulled it, we found that the EGR ports
were fully blocked off with carbon. This would explain why the SES light would
come on every time it was driven on the highway, why it ran like crap when it was cold, and even why sometimes
it stalled.. We used Fel-Pro intake gaskets and RTV silicone sealant to seal the
intake. The engine now runs perfect.
